Our Commitment to Safety

Your health and safety while in our care has always been our top priority. In response to the COVID-19/Coronavirus pandemic, we’ve taken many additional precautions, modified our office and have added additional rigorous cleanings to keep you and our staff safe at your next visit.

Our office is following all infection control recommendations made by the American Dental Association (ADA), the Illinois State Dental Society (ISDS) the U.S. Centers for Disease Control and Prevention (CDC), and the World Health Organization (WHO). We follow the activities of these agencies closely so that stay up to date on any new recommendations or guidance that may be issued during this evolving global health crisis.

When you visit us next, our office will look a little different than the past.

In our reception room

  • All patients and visitors (over the age of two) must wear a self-provided face mask or face covering in accordance with Illinois state regulations at all times while in our office. The patient will be prompted to remove his/her mask in the treatment area.

  • All patients and visitors must have a non-contact temperature screening and complete a health survey regarding your potential exposure to COVID-19 both administered by our staff prior to being seen for your appointment. If you have a fever or cough (even if you believe it to be allergies or a cold) or think you may have been exposed to the virus, please call us to reschedule.

  • All visitors and staff must observe six feet social distancing in the office at all times except for the staff and patient currently undergoing during treatment.

  • Protective screens, shields and floor markings to maintain social distancing will be installed and used throughout the office space.

  • Magazines, toys and tablets have been temporarily removed from our office as these items are difficult to clean and disinfect between each use.

  • We have hand sanitizer that we encourage you to use as needed in the office.

  • We ask that only the patient with the appointment and his/ her parent or guardian attend the appointment. Please keep other family members at home at this time for their safety and ours.

During your appointment

  • Only one patient or family at a time will be taken to the treatment area.

  • All equipment, instruments and chairs will undergo rigorous sanitization and surface disinfection with anti-viral agents after each patient.

  • Regular sanitization of the office equipment and spaces with ozone, UV-C and air filtering and reverse air ventilation.

  • Use of aerosols in treatment will be kept at a minimum to avoid potential airborne spread of COVID-19.

  • Select restorative procedures will require an oral pre-rinse (which we provide).

Other precautions

  • Staff will be wearing face masks at all times. We will wear other PPE as appropriate to your treatment or procedure. We will not be removing our masks during your appointment, but we’ll still be smiling at you underneath!

  • The office will be closed on Saturdays for weekly extensive deep cleaning and sanitation as an additional precaution to our already rigorous regular cleanings during normal business hours.

If you have questions or concerns, or feel you need additional accommodations at this time, please do not hesitate to contact us. We are all in this together and want you to feel safe and comfortable during your visit.
