Daily preventative care and maintenance at home is essential for preserving your smile throughout your life. Dr. Bob and staff will advise you on proper brushing and flossing techniques, fluoride and non-fluoride toothpastes, and other oral care products and equipment.
Fluoride Treatment
By applying a highly concentrated fluoride solution to your teeth for just a minute in the office, we can significantly lower your chances of developing tooth decay and cavities. Fluoride treatments are quick, painless, and they’re especially important for maintaining children’s growing smiles.
Digital X-rays
Dental Sealants
Dental sealants are thin, invisible barriers placed over individual teeth to protect them from cavity-causing plaque, bacteria, and acids. A clear, BPA-free plastic-based substance is applied to the tooth which quickly hardens. Sealants are typically recommended for back teeth as these can be harder to clean with regular brushing– especially for children and but adults can benefit from sealants as well. X-rays are periodically necessary primarily to check for cavities between teeth, predicting the eruption of new teeth, and any abnormalities such as extra, missing or misaligned teeth. We use digital x-rays which are chemical free and are a much faster process– minimizing your time in the office.
